Bridgeport Community and Elected Officials Say No to Proposed Amtrak Maintenance Facility

Bridgeport and Chinatown community members along with  elected officials gathered to make their voices heard, delivering a unified message of opposition to Amtrak's proposed maintenance facility that would dramatically reshape the neighborhood.

Residents raised concerns about noise, pollution, traffic, and the displacement of families and businesses that have called Bridgeport home for generations.

Elected officials joined neighbors at the press conference, pledging to fight the proposal and demand that Amtrak consider alternative sites that would not devastate an established residential community.
