Community Volunteers Bring Halloween Magic to Bridgeport and McKinley Park – Photos

When something fantastic lights up our neighborhoods, it's all thanks to our amazing volunteers! Just look at the Halloween events on Saturday in Bridgeport and McKinley Park — the Trunk-or-Treats were simply outstanding! And it's all because of the incredible folks who gave their time, energy, and resources to bring joy to our community.

Hats off to these local heroes for creating such unforgettable Halloween memories for the kids. We're so grateful for everything you do to make our neighborhoods a little brighter — and spookier!

American Legion William McKinley Park Post 231

The American Legion William McKinley Park Post Trunk & Treat was loaded with candy galore, but the fun didn't stop there — volunteers were also handing out pizza donated by Freddie's in Bridgeport. Sweets and slices? Now that's a party!

Ferrara rolled in with a truckload of sweets to share! And all the extra candy? It's going straight to Green School in McKinley Park and to kids from Ukraine who recently arrived in Chicago from war zones and are now attending St. Nicholas Cathedral School.

A cool Trunk & Treat setup at Armour Elementary drew sports fans of all ages. A couple fresh from Canada who moved into the community — die-hard Blackhawks and Maple Leafs fans — packed all their hockey-loving spirit into their display.

Spooky Fest at McKinley Community Play Garden

The McKinley Community Play Garden also hosted a festive Halloween gathering, adding to the neighborhood-wide celebration that made October 26th a day to remember for families across Bridgeport and McKinley Park.
