The McKinley Park Memorial Day Parade marked a major milestone this year, celebrating its 55th anniversary as a cherished neighborhood tradition. Residents lined the streets to honor fallen service members and enjoy the sense of unity the annual event brings to the South Side community. With flags waving and marching bands playing, the parade once again severed as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made in defense of the nation.
Organized entirely by volunteers from the McKinley Park Civic Association and the American Legion William McKinley Post 231, the event reflects the dedication and pride of local residents. From youth groups and veterans to local schools, the parade featured a wide ranch of participants that highlighted the communities strong civic sprit.
