The Chicago Blackhawks Foundation in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago hosted their 1st annual floor hockey tournament at the Louis L. Valentine Boys and Girls Club in Bridgeport.
Four teams from Boys and Girls Clubs throughout Chicago participated in today’s tournament. Fun was had by all with floor hockey, arts and crafts of making team hockey signs, a hockey skills competition, food and more.
Founded in 1938, the Louis L Valentine Boys and Girls Club is located at 3400 S. Emerald and offers youth programs year round.
Captain of United States Women’s Hockey Team Kendall Coyne Schofield Brings Her Winter Olympic Medals to the Floor Hockey Tournament
Kendall Coyne Schofield Captain of United States Women’s Hockey Team and player development coach for the Blackhawks development team the Rockford Ice Dogs attended today’s tournament. Kendall brought her Olympic medals along for the kids to see and try on. (The Gold Medal are from the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeognChand, South Korea, 2022 Silver Medal from Beijing China, 2014 and Silver Medal from the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.)
