Chicago has a new program to help stop crime. The Home, Business Protection Program provides rebates up to a certain limit to cover the cost of outdoor security cameras, one year of cloud storage for video footage, outdoor motion sensor lighting, vehicle GPS trackers and subscription costs. The includes all Chicago residents, business, religious and non-profit organizations. The program is a first-come, first serve.
The rebates include and is not limited to: (Two cameras at $225 each for a total of $450.) Up to One year of subscription cost for cloud-based video storage for a maximum of $150. Two lights up to $100 per light for a total of $200. GPS tracking devices for vehicles, up to $50 per vehicle or a total of $100 reimbursement. One year subscription for cost GPS tracking up to $120.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must be an owner or tenant of a property used as a primary resident, business, religious institution or nonprofit organization. Tenants can also apply for the rebate if they get consent from the property owner.

After the cameras, lights and GPS systems are installed applicants must provide verified documentation along with verified photo documentation according to the terms of the program.
