Get hooked on fun at the 7th Annual Steve Demitro Fishing Derby, hitting McKinley Park Lagoon on September 20, 2025! Over 1,000 kids have participated in this derby since it started. Recognized as one of the top kids’ fishing derbies in the United States, this thrilling, free event is calling all young anglers aged 7-16 (with an adult in tow). Hurry—spots are limited, and online registration is required!
Kicking off at 9:00 AM, the lagoon will come alive with fishing, fantastic prizes, and hands-on outdoor fun for the whole family. Don’t let this big catch slip away—reel in the memories at Chicago’s premier fishing adventure!
