The RAMOVA : Soon to be Heart Beat of Bridgeport, Chinatown, Canaryville, McKinley Park and Pilsen Neighborhoods.

Long awaited ground breaking for the Ramova took place today. The Ramova Theater closed in 1985. The boarded up building was an eyesore for the Bridgeport neighborhood for 36 years.

But soon, Bridgeport will have an incredible venue that will be a game changer for the city and neighborhood. The 1,800 people and 23 Million Dollar venue will have great music, amazing artists that includes Chicago Legends, a renewed Ramova Grill and a brewery.

The renovation also includes a in 7.4 million dollars in renewable energy grant from the Cook County PACE program.

James McHuge Construction the company renovating the Remova expects the Ramova to open in 14 months.

“The Ramova will be owned, operated and for the community” said, Tyer Nevius Founder, Manager of Our Revival Chicago LLC. during his speech to the large crowd that gathered for the ground breaking ceremony.

The Ramova will be the Heartbeat of Bridgeport, Chinatown, Canaryville, McKinley Park and Pilsen neighborhoods.
