Photos: Play Ball! The Perfect day for baseball for these kids from Bridgeport, Brighton Park, Chinatown, McKinley Park and Pilsen
It was a beautiful day for baseball and the stands were packed with friendly families cheering on their team. The players were focused and determined and gave it their all. Everyone was having a great time and creating new memories that will last a lifetime.
The 28 team Omega Delta Baseball League plays out of McKinley Park and Hoyne Park. There are 300 kids in the program. They are from Bridgeport, Brighton Park, Chinatown, McKinley Park, and Pilsen. A new 35 Thousand Dollar Scoreboard was donated by the Chicago Cubs with a batting cage on the way. Thanks to the generous donations, the coaches and volunteers the League is able to provide a top-notch experience for all of the kids involved. Everyone is having a great time and making memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks, Omega Delta Baseball League!
